A 23-year-old Polish woman, who previously made headlines for claiming to be Madeleine McCann, has been charged with four counts of stalking after being arrested at Bristol Airport.

According to Leicestershire Police, the charges against Wandel cover multiple alleged incidents over a span of nearly a year:

Background on Julia Wandel
Julia Wandel, from Lubin, Poland, previously gained international attention when she claimed to be Madeleine McCann, the British girl who went missing in Portugal in 2007. However, DNA tests later disproved her claim.
Since then, she has remained in the public eye, with reports of online activity and allegations leading to her arrest.
Upcoming Court Appearance
Wandel is set to appear at Leicestershire Magistrates’ Court on Friday, where she will face the four charges of stalking. The details of the alleged victims and specific incidents have not been disclosed by the police at this stage.
