A 27-year-old man has been sentenced to 16 weeks in jail after breaking into Whitehall Primary School in Bristol. The burglary took place on Tuesday, February 18, when a witness spotted an intruder climbing into the school grounds and immediately alerted the police.

Police responded swiftly after receiving a call about a break-in at Whitehall Primary School during the half-term break. Upon arrival, officers discovered that a school shed had been broken into and several items had been stolen.
The suspect, identified as Connor Joe Godfrey, was caught attempting to climb back over the fence. He was arrested on the spot, and officers managed to recover some of the stolen property.
A second man was also arrested nearby but was later released without charge.

On Thursday, February 20, Godfrey appeared at Bristol Magistrates’ Court, where he pleaded guilty to burglary and possession of heroin and crack cocaine.
